Loss to Royale with Cheese Extends Austin Losing Streak
|
The Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese and Austin River Sharks completed their game despite the rain.
The Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese racked up a win at Greendale Community Field, bumping off the Austin River Sharks, 3-1. Frank Davis, who started for Kalamazoo, pitched effectively for his team. The slumping River Sharks have dropped 7 in a row.
There were several reasons the Royale with Cheese beat the River Sharks, but one factor was Roberto Sandoval. In the top of the fourth, the Kalamazoo third baseman came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 1-0 lead.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Will Shaw.
