Though the conditions were not ideal, the Irvine Gang Green and Maui Tropics came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
Starting pitcher Mike Marrero pitched well enough to help the Irvine Gang Green beat the Maui Tropics by the score of 6-3. Takehide Ono finished the game for Irvine and earned his 2nd save.
Raúl Salas contributed to the Irvine win. The 29-year old catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the first. For the game, Salas was 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Marrero told the Irvine Chronicle.
The Gang Green have an impressive 87-49 record.
