Rockets Get Past New Orleans for 5-4 Win
|
The New Orleans Looters and Nassau Rockets provided some drama at The Bayou at Heineken Field.
The Nassau Rockets beat the New Orleans Looters, 5-4 at The Bayou at Heineken Field, in part due to right fielder Don Ramey, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. New Orleans's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Doug Thompson had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the ninth for the Rockets. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Nassau trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run double.
