Rockets Pin 4-3 Loss on Looters

The Nassau Rockets did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the New Orleans Looters at The Bayou at Heineken Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Fernando Castillo, who captured player of the game honors. In 7 innings, Castillo surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The Rockets' win now puts them at 65-61.
Nassau left fielder Andrew Alvarado changed the complexion of the game in the top of the sixth inning. That's when he belted a 3-run home run off Gennarino Lucchetti. His 14th home run of the season put Nassau in front, 3-1.
"I liked his command," said Nassau manager Ji-an Shaw. "Fernando was throwing strikes."
