Browns Knock Off Rebels at Gateway Stadium
The St. Louis Browns racked up a win at Gateway Stadium, bumping off the Boston Rebels, 11-3. Bernardo Miranda, who started for St. Louis, pitched effectively for his team. With the win over Boston, the Browns improved to 66-58.

Clinton Clark delivered a big hit for the Browns. The veteran left fielder belted a grand slam home run in the bottom of the seventh. The longball put St. Louis on top, 11-1. Overall, Clark was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4.

"Bernardo's tempo and rhythm were good," said Browns manager Jeff Porter. "He was the key to us winning."
