Beavers Come Back Late to Top Royale with Cheese
|
The Baffin Island Beavers got a strong performance from pitcher Jesse Little, who stymied the Kalamazoo offense en route to a 4-2 win at Hawthrone Grill. In 8 innings, Little surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Brent Miller was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 36 of 39 save opportunities.
Alden Isenhood was a key contributor to the win for the Beavers. In the top of the eighth with two out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a single to center. He was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Isenhood said after the game.
The Beavers saw their record improve to 68-51.
