|
Connie Mack Stadium was the site of a exceptional pitchers' duel.
Osvaldo Cruz never let the Browns get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Boccabellas to a 2-1 win. The third-place Browns have dropped 4 straight games.
The Boccabellas got a big at-bat from third baseman Francisco Sandoval. For the game, Sandoval was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Pocatello a 2-1 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Cruz told the Pocatello Herald.
