C Wiggins Lights Up Stars for 5 RBIs as Bruins Tie BSA Championship
|
The So Cal Bruins defeated the Springfield Stars, 6-5 in Game 4 of the BSA Championship today. Earning player of the game honors was catcher Earl Wiggins, who belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The win moves So Cal into a 2-2 tie with Springfield in the series.
Had Wiggins not come through in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Wiggins hit a 3-run home run. The Bruins never looked back after taking the 6-5 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Wiggins told the So Cal Today.
Game 5 is scheduled for Saturday, November 4th, 2028 at Kekambas Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Ramiro Jiménez for the Bruins and Anthony Erickson for the Stars.
