Closing In: Seattle Nears BSA Championship With Dramatic Game 4 Win
|
When the games really matter, the Seattle Pikes put on their best show, beating the Springfield Stars by a final score of 6-3 today. António Hernández earned player of the game honors, as he was 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Seattle now leads Springfield 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.
Richard Hunter was the walk-off hero for Seattle. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pikes designated hitter hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Hunter said.
The next game is set to be played on Wednesday, October 25th, 2028 at Pikes' Point Stadium. Slated to start are Kyu-pyeong Pak for Springfield and Jesús Suárez for Seattle.
