Big Day by Yarbrough Ignites Frenzy Win
|
Niagara Falls left fielder Clyde Yarbrough played a vital role in his team's 8-5 triumph over New York. He went 4 for 4 with a triple and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times for Niagara Falls. Otis Sykes earned the win to go to 9-7. He allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. At 30-64, the Frenzy are currently last in the National League Eastern Division.
Héctor Padilla put Niagara Falls in front, 4-3, when he hit a 2-run home run off Dan Wilson in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 3rd home run of the season.
