Irvine Gang Green starter Millard Curtis was in fine form against the San Francisco Bandits at The Ballpark at Irvine, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Irvine reliever Mike Fisher was the winner. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Mitsunari Taguchi. Irvine is now 62-28, 7 games up in the National League Western Division.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Irvine third baseman José Salazar, facing Mitsunari Taguchi, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Gang Green the 4-3 win.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Salazar said in his postgame press conference.
