Oilers Solve Rockets, 4-2

The El Dorado Oilers and Nassau Rockets completed their game despite the rain.
The El Dorado Oilers got a stellar performance from pitcher Jorge Salazar, who handcuffed the Nassau offense en route to a 4-2 win at The Ballpark at Sloss Furnace. Salazar, now 1-3, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs.
Theron Harper contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat that propelled El Dorado to the win.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Salazar. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
El Dorado now sits at 29-56, while Nassau falls to 42-44.
