Bandits Continue Skid Thanks to Wiggins, Bruins
|
So Cal catcher Earl Wiggins had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the San Francisco Bandits, 6-1. Marty Burgess converted his 16th save in 18 tries. The losing skid has reached 6 games for San Francisco.
Flexing his muscles for So Cal was the aforementioned Wiggins. The catcher had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first for the Bruins. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory.
"I expect to carry this team on my shoulders at times," said Wiggins.
