Hit Streak Over, Chieftans Stop Allen Tuesday, May 4th, 2027 Bishop Verot HS catcher Carson Allen went 0-for-1 today in Bishop Verot HS's 4-3 triumph over the Masconomet HS Chieftans, snapping his 20-game hitting streak. Allen spoke to BNN after the game and said, "I knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later. I just would have preferred later." When he made an out in his last chance at bat, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. The Chieftans manager shrugged off the streak. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," he said. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here." For the year Allen is batting .389 with 4 home runs. |
