The Maize HS center fielder banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Ballpark of The Hills HS to lead his club past the Mountain Pointe HS. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Ed Nelson doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a three-run double in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
