Jackson HS Ace Named HSNL Outstanding Hitter Award Friday, June 18th, 2027 For fans of the Jackson HS Swamp Bats, there was certainly no doubting the value of Robbie Martin this season. Now the 19-year-old pitcher has an award to show just how valuable he was, as he's been named the 2027 High School NL Outstanding Hitter Award winner. His remarkable campaign saw him put up a 8-0 record. In 9 starts he piled up 46 innings, had 58 strikeouts with 9 walks and a 1.76 ERA. Martin held opposing hitters to a .198 batting average and compiled a 2.2 WAR. Neal Sánchez of the Maris School finished second in voting, while Bill Becker of the Dublin Jerome HS Celtics finished third. |
