Friday, April 16th, 2027
In a powerful performance that left the fans at Olsen Field buzzing, Texas A&M Aggies first baseman Steve Hoffman blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 15-2 win over the Butler Bulldogs.
"Everything was clicking," Hoffman told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Hoffman shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Aggies manager Vic Rainville said. "Steve played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Steve Hoffman walked in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Bill Daniels in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Tom Moreno in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Wayne Hall in the 7th.
Hoffman is currently hitting at a .188 pace with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs.
