Bruins Give Manager Gallegos the Brush-Off Friday, June 12th, 2026 The UCLA Bruins have sent their manager Orlando Gallegos packing and there are plans to announce a replacement soon. The GM was appreciative of his efforts this past year, but the team did not make the progress that is needed to make them a contender. "We might promote within the organization, or we might just go out and get the best skipper available," the GM said. "No decision has been made on that, but we will make it soon." The departing manager told reporters, "Building a contender takes time and good players. We made some progress this season, but it wasn't enough. These days management and owners want instant improvement and instant gratification." |
