Connecticut Clinches Wild Card Wednesday, May 27th, 2026 The Connecticut Huskies could very well have acquired some new fans late this season, as the team's 2026 playoff chase saw them win the wild card as the season wound to a close. "It's a pretty exciting time to be a fan of the Huskies. I think we had people on the edge of their seats wondering what would happen," said left fielder Lewis Rich. What ended up happening is that the team's 30-21 record has allowed it to move on to the postseason, with a chance to win the 3rd CWS Championship in franchise history. "It's only going to get more exciting from here on in," Rich said. |
