Friday, July 23rd, 2027
El Paso shortstop Ken Fingers had a big day at Redleg Field today against the Nashua Redlegs. The 22-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-7 and led the Texans to a 16-1 triumph over Nashua.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Fingers said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Ken Fingers singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.

This year Fingers is hitting .211 with 1 home run and 10 RBIs in 43 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .256 with 9 walks and 19 runs scored.
