Red-Hot Miller Scorches Orioles Thursday, August 19th, 2027 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Dale Miller, it came around today. The 21-year-old center fielder scattered hits all over The Den to pace the Lee's Summit Tigers to a 15-8 victory over the Barry's Bay Orioles. Barry's Bay skipper Te Wei told reporters in the press room that "Miller deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Miller hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Dale Miller singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
