Season-Ending Injury for Matt Stevenson
Saturday, August 7th, 2027
When Matt Stevenson was hurt against the Rio Grande Rattlesnake, the Mt Pleasant Bearcats were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe that first thought. The 25-year-old reliever suffered a sore shoulder throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Stevenson would miss 4-5 months of the season.

Stevenson has taken the hill for 18 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 1-1 record with a 4.76 ERA. The Mt Pleasant reliever has limited opposing batters to a .230 batting average.
