Todd Pounds SNL Pitchers This Week Monday, August 23rd, 2027 No single hit brought Oliver Todd Player of the Week honors -- the Wichita Wranglers left fielder corralled the award with a consistent approach in every at-bat. "Hitting is all about discipline," said Todd. "When you lose focus, start to lunge at the ball and swing too aggressively... swinging at a lot of bad pitches... that's when your average starts to drop and you wind up fighting for playing time. You're most successful when you concentrate on the ball and make 'em throw strikes." Concentrate he did. Todd stroked 9 hits in 25 at-bats while cranking out 5 home runs, 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored. So far this year Todd has hit .288 with 23 home runs, 72 RBIs and 72 runs scored. |
