Big Day for Peņa: Swats 5 Hits Saturday, June 12th, 2027 There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget. Javier Peņa of the Wichita Wranglers had one such moment at Wrangler Stadium today, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Wichita fell to a 7-5 defeat to the BlackIron Dragons. "This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 27-year-old right fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game." Javier Peņa hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bret McJannett in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
