Montgomery's Santos Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Friday, June 11th, 2027 No matter what the Santa Fe Diablos threw at him today, Alberto Santos hit it. He easily handled Diablos pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Biscuits to a 8-3 triumph at Riverwalk Stadium. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Santos's quip, Diablos skipper Ernesto Rivera said he "would take him up on that next time." Alberto Santos singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In his stats this season, Santos has posted a batting average of .277 with 59 hits in 213 at-bats, 6 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has also scored 35 runs, walked 18 times and compiled a .336 OBP.
