Martin Grabs NWL Outstanding Pitcher Award Wednesday, October 20th, 2027 The Bismarck clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Ron Martin will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2027 Northwest League Outstanding Pitcher Award. Martin made 31 starts this year, winning 15 and losing 6. He threw 174 innings, fanned 220, allowed 123 hits and 89 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .198 average as he logged an impressive 2.69 ERA. Máximo Marín of the Moose Jaw Ghostbusters finished second in voting, while Orlando Trinidad of the Bismarck Barons finished third. |
