Tuesday, October 19th, 2027
A pitcher being voted the most valuable player in his league is a rare feat, and this year it did indeed happen. The 2027 Pacific Coast League Outstanding Hitter Award has gone to Houston Hammertime ace Jun Kawashima after a stellar 18-7 season.

In 32 starts he piled up 197.2 innings, 212 strikeouts, 52 walks and a 3.01 ERA. Kawashima held opposing hitters to a .255 batting average and compiled a 6.0 WAR along the way.

Greg Nelson of the Calgary Cowboys finished second in voting, while Luis Martínez of the Santa Monica Bruins finished third.
