Gang Green Prevail, as Wildcard Round Goes to the Wire Sunday, October 10th, 2027 Beaver Dam played host to the climax of an exciting Wildcard Round tonight. The Irvine Gang Green and Baffin Island Beavers battled hard throughout the whole series, for the chance to move on to the Divisional Round. In the end, Irvine won the final game by a score of 5-2 and took the series 2-1. "I think fans got their money's worth in this series. It was just great baseball all the way around," said Gang Green starting pitcher Masutaro Koyama, who earned the nod as series MVP. "Irvine fans especially, I'm sure they're all pretty worked up right now." For the series, Koyama had a 0.00 ERA over 8 innings pitched. He added 10 strikeouts with a 1-0 record. The Irvine Gang Green will play against the Plymouth Rocks in the next round. Plymouth had a bye in the Wildcard Round.
