Recovery Slow For Steeldogs José Martínez Tuesday, September 28th, 2027 José Martínez was taking it slow and easy, nursing a strained hamstring back to good health, when he suffered a setback. According to a Birmingham team official, "José was making excellent progress and it appeared he would return to the squad ahead of schedule. But then he reinjured it in a light workout." Club doctors now say the 24-year-old Steeldogs third baseman would be out at least another 4-5 weeks. Thus far this season Martínez has hit .294 with 2 home runs, 20 RBIs and scored 22 times. |
