Daniels Goes Hitless, Streak Stopped at 36
Thursday, September 9th, 2027
Deplorables first baseman Jeff Daniels went 0-for-4 today in Fresno's 10-7 triumph over the St Charles Sheens, snapping his 36-game hitting streak.

Daniels spoke to BNN after the game and said, "I knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later. I just would have preferred later."

When he made an out in his last chance at bat, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout.

The Sheens manager shrugged off the streak. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," he said. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here."

This year Daniels is hitting .380 with 38 home runs.
