Deplorables Lose to Panthers in Walk Off
Paul Mullins did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Fresno Deplorables from losing, 5-4, to the Vista Panthers at Stone Brewery Stadium. Mullins went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Vista goes to 72-63, Fresno to 78-57.

The Panthers got a big at-bat from shortstop George Howard. For the game, Howard was 1 for 1. In the bottom of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 4th hit of the season gave Vista a 5-4 lead.

"I like our resilience," said Howard.
