The Seattle Pikes did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Pocatello Boccabellas at Pikes' Point Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Mike Graves, who captured player of the game honors. The Pikes, at 74-47, have now won 4 straight.
Bill Mark was one of the major contributors to the win for Seattle. The light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to center in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the day, he went 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Mark told the Seattle Herald.
