D-Bags Fall Short at Pocatello
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Pocatello Boccabellas eventually prevailed at Connie Mack Stadium.
Pocatello Boccabellas starter Kevin Bush was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Jersey Shore D-Bags, 4-3. Adrián Martínez was called on to finish, recording his 34th save.
Chris Parker was 1-3, while adding 2 RBI for Pocatello. The 26-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Johnathan Phillips. It was his 12th RBI of the season.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Bush told reporters after the game.
The Boccabellas bumped their record to 72-48 with this latest triumph.
