Conditions were not ideal but Los Cabos and Niagara Falls were able to put their game in the books.
The Los Cabos Cartel knocked off the Niagara Falls Frenzy, 4-1, at Edmund Fitzgerald Field. Wilbert Rodgers, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Los Cabos won. The left fielder went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. At 46-52, the Cartel are currently third in the National League Western Division.
Willie Wallace's at-bat in the top of the eighth inning was a big one for Los Cabos. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 2nd and 3rd and Los Cabos leading 2-1, the first baseman hit a 2-run single.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Rodgers told the Los Cabos Bulletin.
