Castro on a Hot Streak, SL2 Player of the Week Monday, August 31st, 2026 The Gilbert Fire Fighters received word today that catcher Edgardo Castro was selected Sub League 2 Player of the Week for his stellar performance in last week's games. Castro took full advantage of all 36 plate appearances last week as he hit .469 with 15 hits, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Currently Castro has 4 home runs and a .288 batting average. |
