Battle Torches Claws for 5 Hits Monday, August 10th, 2026 Today the Eagle Squadron downed the Claws 16-3 as Chad Battle sprayed hits all over Eagle Squadron Ballpark in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The Roy catcher said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." Chad Battle hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This year Battle is hitting .247 with no home runs. |
