West 5-for-5 for Overlords Sunday, August 9th, 2026 Jeff West told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what West of the Palmyra Overlords did against the Pueblo Prairie Dogs. He went to the plate 5 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Prairie Dogs, who suffered a 26-1 defeat. "Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us." Jeff West singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and walked in the 7th. To date this season West is hitting .429 with 2 home runs. |
