Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Henry Edwards of the Panthers knows this firsthand. He was injured against the South Carolina Gamecocks while colliding with a player at a base. Because of a torn labrum, the Pittsburgh second baseman is expected to miss 5-6 months. Edwards was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."

On the season, Edwards is batting .289 with 9 home runs and 39 RBIs. He has played in 47 games.
