Star of the Week Awarded in PIO Monday, September 21st, 2026 Jasper Cougars first baseman Ron Edwards walked away with the Pioneer League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Cougars fans are really behind me right now," said the 24-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Edwards batted .500 (11-for-22) with 1 home run and 4 RBIs this week on his way to the award. In 148 games this season Edwards has batted at a .331 pace with 181 hits and 15 home runs. |
