Palmer Wins SNL Player of the Week Prize Monday, July 20th, 2026 So far in his young career, Gil Palmer has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Southern League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old BlackIron Dragons center fielder hit at a torrid .393 clip as he collected 11 hits in 28 at-bats, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 9 runs scored. Posting a .259 batting average to date, Palmer has 15 home runs and 46 RBIs. |
