Matt Johnston out 9 Months With Injury Friday, July 3rd, 2026 "It was a freak thing," said a dejected Matt Johnston after injuring himself in a game against Montgomery. The Gainesville manager told reporters that he's expected to miss up to 9 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. The Guidos are expected to announce a roster move in the next day or two. Johnston has made 39 relief appearances this year and notched no saves. To date in 60 innings he has a 3-5 record, 4.50 ERA with 52 strikeouts and 35 walks. |
