Week's Premier Player: Wichita's Giannini Monday, September 7th, 2026 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Southern League, but last week Giancarlo Giannini of the Wichita Wranglers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Giannini rocked opposing pitching for a .414 average (12-for-29), 3 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Giannini has hit 22 home runs and posted a .285 batting average. |
