McBride Goes on Rampage Against Rollers Friday, September 18th, 2026 It seemed that Tuscaloosa first baseman Ryan McBride could do no wrong as the Trout Slayers kayoed the Rollers 18-6 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Havana pitchers couldn't get him out as McBride seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Trout Slayers were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Havana fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant McBride in the postgame press interview. Ryan McBride struck out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year McBride is hitting .326 with 85 hits, 11 home runs, 56 RBIs and has scored 49 runs. |
