Ruíz Best ITL Starter in August Tuesday, September 1st, 2026 Jorge Ruíz hasn't been around the big leagues long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning International League Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice. In August the Allentown starter earned a 5-0 mark in 7 starts. He threw 46.2 innings, struck out 50 and compiled a solid 1.93 ERA. This season Ruíz has a 16-3 mark in 23 starts with a 3.23 ERA. He has given up 159 hits in 159 innings, struck out 163 and issued 52 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .260 batting average against him. |
