Lara's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback Wednesday, December 16th, 2026 Ángel Lara is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for shoulder inflammation. Apparently the injury worsened, so the 84s sent the 30-year-old reliever back to the doctors for reexamination. Lara told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Lara will now miss a minimum of 2 weeks. Thus far in his career Lara's numbers include 439 appearances, 34 victories, 20 defeats, 10 saves, 500 IP, 417 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.80. |
