Wildcard Round Goes the Distance, Greenville Prevails Monday, October 12th, 2026 The Greenville 84s and St. Louis Browns held nothing back in an entertaining Wildcard Round that went the distance. In the end, it will be Greenville advancing to the Divisional Round, after a 4-2 triumph in the final game at Michigan & Trumbull, to wrap up the series 2-1. The 84s players celebrated jubilantly in their clubhouse after the game, while the scene was one of dismay on the opposing side for the Browns. Carlos Torres was named series MVP for Greenville. For the series, Torres hit .500 with a .583 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Greenville 84s will play against the Springfield Stars in the next round. Springfield had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Divisional Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes. |
