Chwa Pitches Shutout Sunday, September 20th, 2026 Jung Chwa of the Irvine Gang Green spun his magic on the St Charles Sheens today. He blanked them 8-0 on 6 hits, registering 7 strikeouts and 1 walk. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Chwa said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Irvine skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone." Chwa has made 33 starts this season, posting 22 wins and 6 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .198 against him and he has 181 strikeouts in 235 innings with a 2.34 ERA. |
