William Evans Out 5 Months Monday, May 12th, 2025 The Fresno HS Red Wings will have to make do without William Evans for 5 months. He suffered a ruptured finger tendon while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Brookline HS Warriors. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the starting pitcher. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." So far this year Evans has made 9 starts, tossed 40.1 innings, struck out 35 batters and walked 10. His record is 2-3 with a 5.13 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .277 batting average. |
