Vogel Socks it to Torchmen, Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 It was high-5 day at Mudcats Ballpark, at least for Nick Vogel of the Bishop Verot HS. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Tacoma HS Torchmen. Vogel smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 24-18 win. His manager said, "Nick was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Nick Vogel doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Vogel is presently batting .306 with 5 home runs, 34 runs scored and 28 RBIs. His OBP is .433. |
