5-for-6 Game for Moulds Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Fred Moulds showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the H.H. Dow HS Chargers and helped the Temiskaming District Secondary School Saints beat them 16-3. The manager for the Chargers told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Moulds keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Fred Moulds singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Albert Holcomb in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Moulds is batting .425 this year with 6 home runs, 20 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 34 hits in 80 at-bats. |
